Gala Dinner at the Artscape.
The Artscape is the heartbeat for performing arts in Cape Town. Most Capetonians have crossed the threshold of this centrally located theatre to view musicals, dance shows or other stage performances. It is not thought of as your typical venue for a gala dinner. However it turns out that it was the perfect venue for a gala dinner!
The foyer was adorned with backdrops of printed African scenes and crisp white lounge pockets. Cocktail tables were placed to create a platform for networking. Take a few steps further and you would find yourself in a pop-up shop stocked with an array of goods from local artists and entrepreneurs. At the bottom of the stairs that would take you to the first floor there were an arrangement of stunning focal designs on plinths. Yet the best was waiting at the top of the stairs.
Reaching the landing of the first floor you would find yourself in the area where the real party was to take place. The Artscape’s beautiful design with an entire wall of only windows and huge chandeliers added drama to the space. Wooden tables to accommodate a great amount of guests were placed around a stage and dance floor. A selection of flower designs and candles on the tables finished off the look to create a space for a night to remember.
